Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International
Coffee Benefiting the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund:
In September 1967, Dr. Dian Fossey established the Karisoke Research Center in Rwanda’s Virunga Mountains and set in motion one of the longest running-studies of any animal species anywhere in the world.
The Fossey Fund’s environmental education activities are diverse and designed to reach students of different age groups, helping to build awareness, assist local educational institutions, and provide further training for those already working in conservation and education.
Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund
Fossey Fund trackers provide daily protection for about 120 gorillas living in multiple groups, or about half of the mountain gorilla population in Rwanda.
The country of Rwanda has faced many challenges, including a civil war in the 1990s, and still faces a great deal of poverty. However, the progress made toward development, infrastructure, education, and conservation has been substantial and continuous since then.
$1.50 per 12 oz. package is donated to the DFGI.
